This site does not collect or store personal information unless you choose to sign in. When you sign in, a signed cookie in your browser holds the name and email address that your sign-in provider shares with us.
Community contributions and screenshots
When you contribute, we store your submitted text, the page and revision it refers to, your account association, and the submission and review history. Approved comments can display your public name. Correction reports and their screenshot evidence remain private to you and reviewers.
Draft text, page context and image details can be saved in your browser. A selected image file stays in memory in its tab until you send it; it is not saved in browser local storage. Closing the editor or cancelling sign-in preserves that file while the page remains open. After a reload, you must reselect the file to finish an upload.
Starting an image upload stores a private operation record. It does not publish an image or confirm acceptance. After a valid image is converted into an oriented, metadata-stripped preview, the original upload is deleted. We retain the resulting image while its review or approved publication needs it. Only the exact approved comment revision can expose its screenshot publicly.
Final rejection or withdrawal schedules image deletion after active image work has stopped. Withdrawal immediately disables public image access, while page cache updates and physical deletion can remain pending and be retried. Nonimage submission, review, upload-operation and quota records remain for recovery and audit. An accepted image still counts toward that account's daily allowance after withdrawal. Revising a rejected image that has been deleted requires a new upload.
Analytics scripts (Google Analytics and PostHog) load on public pages. They measure general traffic, such as how many people visit. If those scripts do not load, they collect nothing.
